Biography
begin
Years of childhood with parents in Warsaw, Abi with distinction in Berlin (parallel skilled worker for electronic data processing) and then artistic basics with interdisciplinary Bauhaus ideas at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art with a diploma in industrial design.
Active in Berlin, Kiev, Dresden, study trip to Hong Kong, there presentation in the Chamber of Commerce of a designed, innovative household waste disposal system for residential areas (1996!).
The world of products with their social and societal interrelationships are relevant to me: do we design tomorrow's garbage? Social design, could it change our society, even improve our quality of life while conserving resources?
Active in the "Group of 20" at the turnaround
and co-founder in Dresden of the various associations for people with disabilities, mainly involved in the LAGSH (State Working Group on Self-Help Saxony) and for this initiator of the first accessible Internet portal in Saxony (award winner in the team in 2003 at the international radio exhibition Berlin)
My way
After the turn I was elected to the presidium of the VDID (Association of German Industrial Designers). Instructive, because now we were in the market economy - an abundance of products, ideas, ...
Away from "consumer" products I designed the boarding school of the deaf school in Dresden (outside and inside areas), as well as the psychiatry department B1 with an innovative training living model for the Saxon specialist hospital in Arnsdorf near Dresden.
It was a good school, away from the mainstream and the apocalyptic overflow of things.
And yet: A cool time was the design of high-quality writing implements for Cleo Skribent - as "tools of the mind".
But also for Solarwatt Dresden
Test workstation (2008), then some
Demography projects in Bad Muskau such as a "citizen internet workshop" (innovative participation project, funded by the BBSR),
Projects of the German-Polish citizen cooperation in the border region, a senior management plan (conception) for the northern district of Görlitz as a future concept for successful development of the region (2009)
at home in Görlitz
With the EU "Re-Turn" project (Regions benefitting from returning migrants, (12 partners from 7 EU countries) the role of returnees was addressed as an applied research topic, with the example of LK Görlitz.
This was followed by a master’s degree, part-time social gerontology at the HSZG and voluntary work in the multigenerational house for and with people with dementia and their relatives - up to training as a dementia companion and work in assisted living - as a practice parallel to the course.
To refer to the UN Disability Convention and to critically examine whether it is relevant in the study or the like in social practice - that
I made the master's topic: "Mobility as the key to independent living in old age with disabilities" Conclusion: we need a city with different mobility, designed to be inclusive for everyone with free public transport tickets (music of the future), good for everyone and for the climate.
Then the study management of social change as a logical connection to experience and then, if necessary, to act yourself: for a social change in our city that enables us to have a future, not obstructed, in times of the 3 major crises based on the anthropogenic resource overuse crisis .
